Strategy Writeup
Crisanta has three basic attacks, a leap attack, slash and parry. Just like The Penitent One. For this battle, try to force her to the corner of the arena. Once she's at the corner simply spam the attack button and parry her attacks. She becomes vulnerable for a short time if you successfully parry her attacks which allows you to follow up with a strong counter-attack. Just watch out for her leap attack since she can lunge down and cause an explosion around the arena, and if you're not careful you'll get hit.
Once Crisanta reaches about 50% of her health, she enters phase 2. You'll know since the bandages that are wrapped around her sword will fall off, revealing a purple glow around her weapon. She then gains a charge attack where she disappears for a brief moment, then reappears at the end of the arena and charges up for a high-speed attack. This can easily be dodged by jumping over her, just be careful once she teleports into the air instead since she can catch you off guard if you're not careful. Try to stay in the middle of the arena so that you have enough space and time to react when she appears on either side of the arena, also you can attack her a few times when she reappears in the middle of the stage.
If you defeat the boss you will see the writing "REQUIEM AETERNAM" upon the screen and rewards you with 18000 as well as unlocking the Trophy/Achievement: Faith Off.
Attacks & Counters
Attack | Counter |
Phase 1 | |
Forward Slash | Crisanta swings her sword forward. It can be parried which stuns her for a brief moment giving you the opportunity to counter-attack. |
Leap | Crisanta jumps backward to avoid The Penitent One's attacks. She can also follow up with an aerial lunge where she leaps up high into the air and lunges onto the ground towards The Penitent One. Occasionally, the lunge also causes an explosion that covers both directions. |
Parry | Crisanta can enter a parry stance. Attacking her while in this stance will result in her parrying your attack and following up with a slash. This can be parried if you attack to trigger her parry slash and then immediately parry yourself. |
Phase 2 | |
Charge attack | Crisanta disappears for a brief moment then reappears and charges up for a high-speed attack. You can jump over her to avoid getting hit. This attack can also be parried. |
Aerial Charge attack | In conjunction with the Charge attack, she can also teleport into the air and perform the Charge attack in mid-air. Dash away to avoid getting hit. This attack can also be parried. |
Crisanta of the Wrapped Agony Lore
Crisanta is also a penitent where her vision was taken from her, as to The Penitent One losing his voice. Yet they are quite similar, she believes that their penances are different, opposite, and yet complementary. At some point, Crisanta participated in the destruction and massacre of the Brotherhood of the Silent Sorrow. And now she is a devotee to His Holiness Escribar and puts effort to stop The Penitent One's journey.
