Strategy Writeup

Ten Piedad's attacks consist of AoE attacks where it constantly tries to use heavy attacks to keep you away from it and by growing out vines from the ground. The best tactic to kill this creature is to try to close in the distance and parry or block most of its attacks. There are only two attacks which cannot be parried which is the Swipe attack where it bends over and swings its arm and the Stomp attack where it raises one leg and stomps onto the ground which knocks you back if you block it then follows up with vines the spring from the ground at your last location.

Ten Piedad does have a second phase but there aren't any changes or animation to it. But instead, one it reaches 50% and even less of its health, Ten Piedad gains the ability to telegraph more vines for about 3-4 more that spring out from the ground which allows it to cover a larger area of the arena. Block, dash, jump over the vines to avoid getting hit and try to get close to the creature in order to land your attacks.

If you defeat the boss you will see the writing "REQUIEM AETERNAM" upon the screen and you'll be rewarded with tears-of-atonement-icon-blasphemous-wiki-guide 625 and unlocks the Trophy/Achievement: No Mercy.

Ten Piedad Lore

Ten Piedad was once a man who constantly was haunted by visions from the Miracle. At some point, he was exhausted by the terror, became tired, and eventually fell asleep in the arms of the statue of a woman. As The Penitent One finds this creature, he awakens and realizes that he has been changed into a demon, a beast, filled and consumed with anger and pain. Ten Piedad's appearance has the combination of a mutated body of a human and plant, and the head of a goat.

"I'm still inside the creature. I can hear its roar outside, I can hear the thunderous beating of its heart. I just wanted to sleep, but I saw the Miracle in my dreams. It spoke to me. That is why I lie down in the Lady's open arms. But the Miracle appeared to me again. It was more and more tangible. Then I woke up, but I was no longer myself. I was a prisoner trapped inside a rooted body. A body immersed in constant anger. In constant pain. I am awake in a sleeping body."

Ten Piedad Notes & Trivia
