Full The Holy Line Walkthrough

Upon escaping the pit of your dead brothers and sisters, The Penitent One finds himself in The Holy Line where he meets another being who is also in penance.

Meeting Deogracias

You've now escaped the pit of those who were in penance and arrive at The Holy Line.

You'll find a tall being wearing a green pointed hood ahead, approach him and he'll speak to you and introduce himself as Deogracias, listen to him and he will give you your first Quest Item, the Thorn.

After speaking to him, you'll find a Prie Dieu altar for this location. Interact with it if you need to.

Through the Forest

Now continue through the forest and you'll face a couple of enemies in the area such as Enraged Pilgrim, Lamento Fundido. and Wheel Wielding Pilgrim.

Along the way, you'll also be given a tutorial on parrying and performing executions on certain enemies - continue going right towards the next section of the forest.

Be careful when you jump down into the mud, it slows your movement and enemies, Lamento Fundido will appear from the mud.

Continue forward where you'll find your first Prayer: Veridales of the Forsaken Hamlet. Open the options menu, equip it and a tutorial window for using prayers will appear.

You'll find another item that's above you, but you won't be able to reach it yet. Ignore it for now and continue forward.

For the next section, use the platforms to get across and to avoid running into the mud and more enemies.

At the last platform, you'll notice a flying creature holding a trapped being - these are the Children of Moonlight. Attack it at the right time to free it, once that's done, kill the enemies ahead, continue forward, and another cutscene will trigger.
