Weight of Sin is an ability in Blasphemous. Weight of Sin allows The Penitent One to execute a plunge attack. Abilities are categorized as active combat techniques that allow The Penitent One to learn and execute a combat move that can be executed in battle.
It takes advantage of the speed of a fall to perform a powerful plunge attack. It consumes Fervor.
Weight of Sin Usage
- Weight of Sin doesn't require Fervor to be activated.
- Press Down + ATTACK while falling down from the air.
How to Find Weight of Sin
- Weight of Sin is part of the Mea Culpa Tier Lvl 1.
- Weight of Sin is unlocked early on after discovering the first Mea Culpa Shrine
- Players will need to use the Mea Culpa Shrine and spend Tears of Atonement to unlock an ability.

The trick is pressing X and holding it AND THEN pressing down. Not at the same time, not down then X. Hold X then Down. I had problems using this ability for about half an hour until i stopped and tried to do it consistently for about 5 minutes.
